After School Care

The YMCA of Greater Miami is pleased to announce that the YMCA will operate the before and after school programs at Vineland Elementary School.

Currently, the YMCA operates before and after school in fifty-seven locations and serves over 6,000 children
each day.

The YMCA before school program operates from
7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. and the after school program operates from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Please review the payment schedule outlining the cost of Before and After School Care Programs.

AfterSchoolCare

YMCA after school program offers fun activities designed to help children learn. Curriculum components include homework support, snack time, outdoor games, health and nutrition, arts and crafts, learning centers, conflict resolution, skill building, science education, literacy development, and character education. These curriculum components are implemented through small group activities, large group activities, learning centers, child initiated activities, and staff directed activities. All activities are designed to enhance learning while having fun.

In addition to a high quality curriculum, the YMCA believes that nothing is more important for the care and safety of your child than a qualified, well-trained staff. All YMCA staff members are fingerprinted and background checked prior to employment. Additionally, YMCA staff is required to meet the minimum training requirements for the State of Florida. The YMCA offers year round training and supervision to our staff and our staff to child ratios are kept at 1 to 15 to ensure safety.

Please contact us at 305-357-6622 for additional information or to register. Please be advised that there is a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee and that all payments are due one week in advance.

We look forward to serving you and your family.
